I still need to do a fair amount of work on the late papers. This is how I currently defined the families of papers:
1. 1E1 of 1936, 1E3(a,b,c) and 1L1 (wavy rays, mid-size RAs).
2. 1E2, 1E4, 2D, and 2C (semi straight to straight rays, large RAs).
3. NGR, NOP of 1948, and perhaps a late NOP from the mid-1950s.
4. 1L2, 1L4 (wavy rays, large RAs).
5. 1L3, 1L6 (wavy rays, small RAs).
6. 1L5(more than one paper, yet to classify): ilegible watermark.
If we are able to determine that the 1L5s when semi-legible have the same watermark as 1L3/1L6, then these are all in the same group.
The clays I have unassigned knowing that these papers are members of one of these families. There is one clay that seems to have the same watermark as 1E4, and another same as the 1L2.
